Stylish settings for patio and kitchen tables:
make your own mosaic out of solid color plates
Inexpensive, solid color plates are easy to find and look great on your mosaic table. If your table features red and white tiles, then think about alternating red and white plates all around the table. It’s a simple way to coordinate your table and tableware, but the effect can be stunning.
Another great look comes from stacking different colored plates and bowls. Let’s say you have neutral colored mosaic table (beige or taupe) with blue accents. Try placing a lime-colored dinner plate at each setting. On top of this, add a blue salad plate, then a lime soup bowl. Don’t forget to experiment with geometry, too. Square plates can be an attractive complement to a round table – and vice versa.
One other quick tip… remember that you can go ahead and set the table, even if you aren’t planning to dine at it today. Especially if your mosaic table is in a dining room or sunroom that doesn’t get everyday use, you can create a lovely, welcoming effect by laying out some colorful tableware at each place setting.
